Guests use the questionnaire, checklist, budget worksheets, notebooks and handbook actions in page memory. When you sign in to a Meridian account, these planning details are saved privately so you can return to them across visits and devices. Account signup collects your email address, a password through Netlify Identity, an optional first name and your acceptance of the account terms. Your password is managed by Netlify Identity and is not included in your progress records. Creating an account does not subscribe you to newsletters. Newsletter forms do not collect your planning details. Optional email signup collects your email, optional first name, consent wording and consent time. Earlier signups from the previous form also included planning preferences. Those existing records remain subject to the retention and deletion rules below. Read the signup terms before submitting. Do not send passport numbers, financial account details or sensitive documents.

Advertising inquiries collect a business name, contact email, website, destination, service category, requested placement and optional public headline and description. Contact, correction and privacy requests collect an email and message. Contact and advertising forms do not subscribe you to marketing.

The AI question feature is paused. The website is not accepting new AI questions or sending new research requests to OpenAI. Netlify hosts the website, functions, account authentication and saved progress records. Confirmation and password recovery emails are account service messages, separate from optional marketing emails. Read Netlify privacy information for its provider policy.

Hosting providers process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs for service operation and security. The application uses hourly counters based on hashed IP addresses to limit abuse. Hosting logs have separate provider retention settings. Processing could occur outside your country, including in the United States.

We use Fathom Analytics to understand which public guides people read and improve the website. It processes page visits, referral domains, campaign parameters, browser and device information, and approximate location. Requests carry an IP address and browser information; Fathom uses these to create a site-specific visitor signature with a changing daily salt. Its ordinary analytics records do not contain dedicated raw IP address fields. Separate security processing may retain IP information.

Our integration excludes the private preview, account, planner, AI question, owner, contact and unsubscribe pages. It does not send form answers, saved notes, income figures, email addresses or comment text as analytics events. It respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. We request public currency rates from Exchange Rate API. The request does not include your budget, income, notes or account details. The provider receives standard connection information such as your IP address. Rates are cached in browser session storage to reduce repeat requests. Conversions are estimates with a displayed rate date.

Fathom does not set analytics cookies. We do not add advertising cookies or advertising pixels. A device-local preference remembers the featured guides already shown, so the homepage offers a fresh selection. This contains country names, is not sent to us, and is cleared when you clear this site’s browser data. A session storage setting remembers when you dismiss the privacy announcement. It expires with the browser session. Guest planning entries remain in page memory. If you choose to sign in to save guest work, a temporary draft is kept in browser session storage for up to four hours while you complete account access. You choose whether to add it to your account. Authentication uses Netlify Identity cookies, including nf_jwt and nf_refresh, and local browser storage used by the Identity library. These keep your account signed in and refresh the session. Signed-in planning records are saved on the server. A saving message shows whether changes reached your account. Download your copy before leaving when a save has failed. The site does not use your questionnaire answers to target third-party ads.

We use inquiry details to consider advertising and messages to respond to requests. Email signup uses your consent for Meridian Global tips and planning updates. Security counters protect the service. Where applicable, consent supports marketing and legitimate interests support service security, responding to inquiries and understanding public website usage. We do not sell the email list or give it to advertisers.

The site checks the confirmed owner account on the server before granting access to advertising inquiries, subscriber records and moderation queues. Regular members do not receive access to these records. Owner access uses the normal account session.

Your account stores planning preferences, selected destinations, completed tasks, budgets, notes and handbook action checks. These records are scoped to your authenticated account. Other visitors and advertisers do not receive access. The site operator and hosting provider have administrative access needed to operate the service. Keep passport details, medical records, financial account numbers and sensitive documents out of planning notes.

Account and progress records stay until you delete your saved progress or request account deletion. The My Progress page includes a download and a delete-progress control. Request account deletion through the contact form. Signing out does not delete saved progress. Deleting planning progress does not unsubscribe you from a newsletter you joined separately.

Discussion posts and replies require a confirmed account. We store a hashed account identifier, public display name, topic, title, text, timestamps, publication consent and moderation status in Netlify. Approved contributions are public and may be indexed or copied by others. Pending or rejected contributions are visible to their author and the operator. We keep contributions while the community operates unless removed or a deletion request is fulfilled. There are no private messages. Account-based abuse counters expire separately.

Sign in and open My conversations to view your submissions. Open a discussion while signed in to remove your own post or reply. Removing a discussion also removes its replies, including replies from other members. Deleting planning progress does not delete public contributions. For account deletion, access or removal help, use the contact form. Removing content here cannot remove copies already made by others.

Posting a living experience requires a confirmed account. We store an account identifier, your chosen public name, city, dates, topics, story, consent time and moderation status. Approved stories are public, including to search engines. Your account email is not part of the public story. Do not include private addresses, contact details, medical records or other people’s identities. You do not need to disclose your personal background or health.

Submissions remain private until owner review. Editing a published story removes it from public display until reviewed again. Return to the same country page while signed in to edit or remove your contribution. Stories, including unpublished submissions, stay until you or the operator remove them or you request deletion. Deleting saved planning progress does not delete your public contributions. Public copies retained by readers or search engines are outside our control.

Research jobs expire after one hour. Questions are removed from the site job record when processing starts. Expired jobs and security counters are removed by a daily cleanup. Questions also appear in the generated answer when the model repeats them. Provider records are governed separately.

Signup records expire after 24 months. Contact and privacy messages expire after 12 months. Daily cleanup deletes expired records. Advertising inquiries stay until the owner completes review and removes them, or longer when needed for a resulting business relationship. The site keeps a hashed email suppression record after unsubscribe to avoid adding the address to future exports.

View, print and download your checklist without signing up. Email updates are offered on a separate page. Use the unsubscribe page to remove your email signup record. An unsubscribe in an email provider must also be honored there. Request access, correction or deletion through the contact form. We verify identity where needed before releasing records. Rights and response requirements vary by your location, and you have the option to contact your local data protection authority.

Public advertiser listings contain approved business details, not private inquiry emails. Linked external websites have their own privacy practices.

We update the date on this notice when our practices change. New tracking or marketing tools require a review of this notice and their consent settings before activation.
