Georgia has no parliament-approved dedicated digital nomad visa, and the 2020 "Remotely from Georgia" online application no longer appears on the official e-visa portal — its status is genuinely uncertain and some sources now describe it as defunct. In practice, citizens of about 95 countries can stay in Georgia for up to a year visa-free, and since September 2025 Georgia offers a 3-year IT residence permit for IT professionals with two years of experience and qualifying income. Note that from March 1, 2026, amendments to Georgia's labour migration law require a work permit for foreigners working in Georgia, including remote workers — confirm your status before working from Georgia.
